Build and verify a floor plan
Console: Service → Floor plans. Confirm the location. A floor plan is a
visual layout; table capacity, booking use, and order types belong to the
table record.
Select Add floor plan, name it, set Active/Inactive and Canvas Size, and
review the saved plan. Multiple plans can represent different physical floors or
areas. Hiding a layout is not a substitute for changing table booking or service
settings.
Visual editor
- Use Layers → Add new layer. Select a layer to edit it in Properties.
- Choose Shape (Rect, Circle, or Text) and Type (Table or Decor). A
table layer must point to the intended existing Table record.
- Set position, dimensions, rotation, and label. A rotated rectangle is not a
new terminal or a new reservation combination.
- For tables, review Chair layout and Bench sides. These control the
drawing; they do not change the physical capacity stored on the table.
- Drag layers into the actual arrangement and review overlapping objects and
labels. Use layer ordering to keep the intended shapes visible.
- Select Save for a new plan or Update for an existing one, then reopen
and check the layout in the staff app at the intended device size.

Deleting a shape changes the draft layout immediately; it is not saved until you
save the floor plan. Review before discarding or leaving an unsaved edit.
Deleting the whole floor plan removes the layout and its table placements; read
that confirmation separately from terminal deletion.
Verify for service
Check each visible table maps to the correct existing terminal, labels are
legible, the physical arrangement is usable, and staff can locate active work.
Do not interpret decorative chairs, colours, or proximity as proof of booking
availability or a configured combination.
If loading or saving fails, use Try again and inspect the existing plan
before recreating it. Escalate with location, plan, layer/table link, device,
expected arrangement, and exact error. Keep guest names and active-order data
out of public captures.
