Review business identity and billing defaults
Console: Settings → Business settings → General. These defaults belong to
this business and can affect every location. They are different from a single
restaurant's public contact details, hours, or delivery area.
Read the configuration
Review Business details: name, active state, country, currency, locale, and
time zone. Regional defaults and reporting/booking times depend on these values.
Many controls in the current General screen are read-only for restaurant
operators. If a needed change is unavailable, use the authorised support route;
do not obtain platform access or change another account as a workaround.
Account contact is for important account/service messages. Billing email
is where TablePort invoices go; a blank value falls back to the account contact.
Review who actually monitors those addresses and keep their details within
authorised business access.
Invoiced to
Check the legal entity identified as paying for TablePort. With multiple
entities, do not assume the first is correct. This identity and billing address
are separate from a location's receipt/accounting profile. Use
Legal entities for the supported
configuration.
Where an authorised edit is available, review suggested registered-office
information before saving. Failed lookup does not verify the address; the screen
offers manual entry. A successful save is not a change to provider agreements or
another company's billing authority.
Save and recovery
Inspect actual permitted fields, save only the intended change, then reopen and
verify. After an uncertain save, check the existing business before
resubmitting. Business deletion is not a recovery step for configuration,
access, billing, or data issues; escalate through the responsible owner/support
process rather than recreating a live business.
Use Location settings for local service details,
Team roles for employee access, and
Billing for the subscription/invoice view. Provide business
reference, intended field, observed restriction/value, and exact error through
an authorised channel, keeping contacts and financial records private.
