Free tables and automatic fit
The chooser can show a floor map, table list/search, selected tables, conflicts,
and automatic-assignment option. Without an active floor plan, use the list or
Find a table by name.
No automatic fit is not proof that staff have no usable table. Explicit
staff selection includes every conflict-free table regardless of online
bookability, automatic capacity fit, or earlier seating-area choice. Check
physical suitability and the restaurant's policy before proceeding.
Review the whole re-seat
A booked/taken table may offer a supported swap or Re-seat path. Choose the
intended destination for every affected party and inspect the summary of who
else moves. An already seated party requires coordination with the floor team; a
saved configuration is not proof someone physically moved.
The preview can reject a party or table that changed, a plan that no longer
fits, or too many parties in one move. Review or save the supported smaller plan
rather than bypassing the limit. A pacing warning is distinct from a hard table
conflict; read the shown consequence before an authorised decision.
Select Use these tables, Move to, or Save tables as offered. Verify
the resulting assignments, affected parties, actual seating/arrived counts, and
linked order context before handover.
Availability failed or changed
Preserve the selection and use Retry after checking connection or access. If
the chooser says it is showing last results, those are not proof of current
availability. Table changes require the supported online check; do not force a
move from stale offline data.
Inspect the same booking and affected parties after an uncertain save. Do not
repeat a swap blindly, restore an old assignment over another host's change, or
create another booking to obtain the table. Escalate with booking/party
references, intended move, table/time, preview warning, actual state, and error.
