Use an AI assistant with TablePort
An external AI assistant can use supported TablePort tools through an authorised
MCP connection. It acts within the connected account's access and the tools
available on that connection.
What to expect
An authorised connection can offer restaurant reads and supported changes across
menus, service, guests, marketing, stock, reporting, settings, and website
presentation. The exact catalogue depends on the connected environment and
release, account permissions, and feature access. The assistant must discover
its actual tools before answering or acting.
Do not assume it can take a payment, refund a guest, send a campaign, change a
booking, fix a physical printer, or open and close the day. Those tasks need the
restaurant's supported interface and an authorised operator when the required
tool is unavailable.
Stay in control
Use the normal TablePort authorisation flow. Review the account, business,
client, and permissions before connecting. Never give an assistant your staff
PIN, password, or copied payment-provider credentials.
Before a change, make the target and intended value clear. If a result needs
approval, queued is not completed. Ask for a verified result rather than relying
on the assistant saying that it sent a request.
The chosen AI client receives the information returned through its tools. Check
that client's product settings and applicable agreement when deciding what to
share; this guide does not promise a universal training or retention policy.
