Check guest marketing consent
For managers preparing a campaign or automation. A segment match, guest tag,
booking, or loyalty membership does not itself establish permission to send
marketing. Check the recipient's status and the campaign's eligibility review.
Guest preferences
In Guests → Members, the profile shows marketing consent and when it was
set. The profile's consent control is read-only: diners use their preference
centre to make their own choice. Staff can use Stop marketing emails to
withdraw this business's marketing access, but cannot resubscribe an opted-out
guest on their behalf.
The guest preference centre offers Marketing emails for the restaurant and
an explicitly broader Stop all marketing emails action. The ordinary
restaurant unsubscribe flow affects that business. Do not interpret one
restaurant's access as permission for another business.
Unsubscribe confirmations and supported one-click unsubscribe are different
guest routes. Use the normal guest preference flow rather than fetching links or
changing private records to manufacture a choice. Transactional service messages
and marketing have separate purposes and eligibility rules.
Guest import can create profiles held from marketing. The
explicit-consent release requires the original date, exact wording, and a
durable evidence reference applying to the held contacts. It does not override
an existing opt-out. Do not confirm uncertain evidence simply to increase an
audience count.
For UK marketing, the restaurant must establish the applicable permission for
its sender and contact method. An imported list is not proof of consent; see
ICO guidance.
The product's explicit-consent confirmation is not an assessment of another
legal route or a universal compliance guarantee.
Before a send
Review matched versus eligible recipients and reasons held back: no consent, no
email, undeliverable, recently emailed, or exclusion. Audience and consent are
resolved again at dispatch. Do not change tags, import again with invented
consent, or reclassify marketing as a service message to bypass these checks.
For an erasure, data-export, or unresolved consent request, follow the
restaurant's authorised process and contact TablePort support as needed. A
profile deletion is not proof that every historic record was erased. Keep the
request and relevant references within authorised channels.
