Creating Items

Let’s open the management sidebar, and choose the relevant business (Click here to select your business).

Then, navigate to "Items" in your business side menu.

Great! You are on the Items screen now. You can view existing items and edit them, or create a new one by clicking the “+” icon on the top corner.

To continue with the process, we need to fill the required information.

• Name: The name of the item, will be shown by default if the display name empty, can be used for reports, and internal purposes.

• Display name: Optional, the name that will appear on the menu to customers.

• Item price: the base price of the item (without additions or taxes)

• Item production cost: Optional, used in reports to calculate food cost.

• Description: Give an explanation about the item, tell its story but make it short and effective. which is going to appear once the item is selected by staff or customer.

• SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): Optional, Used to identify and track against external services and reports.

• Enable age restrictions: Set a minimum age for who can order this item, useful for Alcoholic beverages.

• Enable Tax rates: adjust the tax rate to the VAT relevant to your location.

• Enabled order types: Add how your costumers will be abled to order this item. Enable all by keeping the slider or individually "click" seating, pickup, delivery, stand, or self-service kiosk. Just activate the ones that correspond to each item.

• Type: You can select if it is a single item or a bundle of items to select from. If you choose "Bundle", you have to select sub-items groups, by clicking the “+”. Add the name of the sub-item, the display name, and a brief description of the bundle. Then, select the default item that you added before, and add the sub item possibilities.

• Staff Settings: You can choose if this item is going to be available only to the Staff, allow the Staff to override the item name, and or let the Staff override the item price.

• Units and Amounts: In this category, you can choose what will be the incremental step size, which is the minimum amount and which is the maximum when ordering this item.

• Image: Clicking "+" you can add images of each item. We suggest you use quality pictures!

• Schedules: You can define when this item available. Modify the days and the times when this item can be ordered, whether it be seasonal or available at only some parts of the week or parts of the day.

After this click "Confirm" to add the item.
