# Connect a restaurant domain

**Console: Marketing → Website → Domains.** For the authorised domain manager.
The site must exist and have the required Sites Advanced access. Use a domain
the restaurant controls, rather than an IP address or a TablePort address.

1. Enter the intended root domain and select **Add domain**.
2. Copy the exact DNS records displayed for that domain and add them through its
authorised DNS manager. Do not substitute a remembered target or another
restaurant's records. Review existing DNS before replacing anything.
3. Return and use **Verify DNS** or **Check status** as offered. Wait for
provisioning to complete rather than repeatedly adding the same domain.
4. Once **Active**, open the address and verify secure access to the intended
live restaurant site and important guest actions.

| State | Check |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| Provisioning | Displayed DNS records and verification progress |
| Active | Correct public site and guest paths |
| Failed or Suspended | Exact status/error and authorised support review |

DNS changes can take time; follow the displayed setup guidance and check the
actual records and status. Do not edit email, provider credentials, or unrelated
DNS to fix a website domain without their own authorised scope.

**Remove** disconnects this address from the site; the confirmation explains
that other domains and the site remain online. Check guest-facing links before
confirming. Removing a domain does not undo changes made at the DNS provider.

If verification is uncertain, inspect the existing domain record before adding
it again. Escalate with domain, displayed status, setup step completed, time,
and error. Do not share provider credentials or private account captures.
