# Recover a missing daily-report email

For the manager sharing a daily report. A closed day and successful email
receipt are separate outcomes. A missing email or printout does not establish
that the daily failed to close.

1. Open **Console → Reports → Daily reports** at the correct working location.
Confirm the daily reference, dates, and Open/Closed status.
2. Open the header's **Email delivery** status. Review all recipient pages, not
   only the first rows.
3. Check configured **Manager report recipients** through **Manage recipients**
or **Settings → Location settings → General**. Verify authorised addresses
   and any skipped-recipient/cap notice.
4. Interpret the actual state before requesting another delivery.

| State | Next check |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Queued / Sending report | Let the existing request progress and refresh status |
| Sent | Ask the intended recipient to check the mailbox; Sent is not proof of reading |
| Failed | Review the error and use the offered Retry for that recipient when appropriate |
| Uncertain | Review before resending; the provider outcome has not been established |
| Opted out | Preserve the recipient's choice; do not bypass it with another automatic entry |

Use **Email Report → Send Report** for an intended, authorised individual
recipient. This requests that delivery; it is not a resend to everyone. If the
response says already scheduled, queued for retry, or scheduling uncertain,
inspect the existing status before another request.

A day that closed successfully must not be opened or closed again to repair its
report email. An open-day PDF reflects figures at that moment, rather than a
final closed report. Printing is also separate; use
[Printer recovery](/troubleshooting/printers) for an unsuccessful till slip.

Escalate with location, daily reference, intended recipient through an
authorised channel, delivery state, request time, and exact error. Keep report
contents, recipient addresses, and staff/guest details out of public
screenshots.
