# Record a delivery without an order

For authorised receiving staff. In the app, open **Stock → Receive PO → Add
delivery without an order**. In the Console, use **Stock → Purchase orders → Add
delivery**. This records goods directly into stock and sends nothing to the
supplier.

1. Confirm location and supplier. Enter the delivery-note or invoice reference.
2. Add each product that arrived and choose its actual pack/unit.
3. Enter the physical quantity and price per displayed denomination. A suggested
   price may come from the supplier list or be estimated from previous cost;
check it against this delivery. A missing price is not free goods.
4. Review **Update supplier prices**. Enabling it saves these pack prices as
current supplier prices; this delivery's stock cost uses the entered price
   either way.
5. Check the reference, lines, total, and notes, then **Add to stock**.
6. Reopen the resulting activity and verify the location quantities and cost.

The app can offer **Show all items, not just this supplier's products** for
recording an arrived product absent from that supplier list. Verify the right
product and pack rather than picking an unrelated item. Manage permanent
supplier links through [Purchase orders](/guides/purchase-orders).

Changing supplier clears current products, quantities, and prices after
confirmation. Review before continuing. Do not use this flow for goods already
received against a PO or through invoice approval.

Read validation shown beside the form before **Add to stock**. Resolve the
missing supplier, arrived product, quantity, or price against the delivery
paperwork. A message disappearing after an edit is not a saved receipt.

After a timeout, inspect existing receipt activity using the delivery reference
before submitting again. Escalate with supplier, location, reference, product,
pack, quantity, price, current stock activity, and the error.
