# Select and maintain restaurant locations

**Console: Settings → Locations.** For the manager working within the authorised
business. Use name, active and approval filters to find the intended restaurant.
A filtered-empty result is not proof a branch was deleted.

Check name, type, status, approval, and update time. **Active**, **Pending**,
**Approved**, and **Rejected** answer different questions; active state alone
does not establish every channel or provider is ready.

Open the intended location's settings or **View website** to inspect its saved
service/public configuration. Choose the working location before local bookings,
orders, stock, devices, reports, or settings. Shared items, roles, suppliers and
business identity remain shared rather than separate copies for each branch.

Use **Add location** only for an authorised new restaurant, then configure its
name and supported settings. Hours, channels, payments, address, menus and
hardware still need their own review. A created record is not launch readiness.

If a location is unavailable, check business selection, filters, role/location
access and the actual error before recreating it. Do not use another location's
records or provider credentials to bypass a missing setup. After an uncertain
creation, inspect the original list first. Escalate with business/location,
expected branch, observed status and error through an authorised channel.
