# Find modifiers in option groups

The current Console manages modifiers through **Menu → Option groups** and an
item's **Configuration → Option groups**. Use
[Offer sizes, extras, and meal choices](/menu/option-groups) for the full
workflow. The older separate Modifiers instructions no longer match the current
navigation.

For written special instructions, check the item's **Disable customer notes**
setting and the ordering flow's notes field. Do not create an old-style VERBAL
modifier from these instructions. Keep allergy-related guest notes distinct from
the restaurant's verified product allergen information.

After attaching a group, save the item and test its choices, limits, defaults,
and final price at the correct location. Shared group changes can affect other
products; use a copy when the rules should differ.
