# Prepare the floor for service

For the manager and host team. Agree real table names, capacities, joinable
arrangements, and service points before entering the configuration.

## Before service

Reopen saved configuration and check it in the staff app on the devices the team
uses. Explicit staff selection must retain all conflict-free tables, including
those excluded from online booking or automatic capacity/area fits. Choose a
physically suitable table; being selectable is not a capacity or safety
recommendation.

Verify that a floor-plan table layer points to the intended terminal, not a
similarly named service point. Test printed QR/NFC links through the intended
guest ordering path before displaying them. Keep staff access and redemption
credentials separate from public guest-ordering material.

## Change and delete carefully

Bulk changes apply to selected records; inspect the selection and resulting
settings. Move active work and review future bookings/defaults before deleting a
terminal. Deleting a layout, deleting a shape, and deleting a terminal have
different consequences.

For an uncertain save, reopen the existing record before creating replacements.
Handover the changed location, tables, modes, layouts, and intended effective
service to the shift leader. Keep guest and staff data within authorised access.
